Teammates Shared What He Meant To Them
Following Barnett’s death, William Jewell players remembered him with words that showed both grief and love. One player said, “He’s always going to be with us.” Another said, “He never acted like he was better than anybody and we’ll play for him like he played for us.” Players also said, “We love him.” A vigil was scheduled at William Jewell for Saturday at 8 p.m. to honor Barnett and his family.
