The flood zone, which falls within Roy’s district, has seen an overwhelming outpouring of support, including a visit from President Donald Trump, who personally toured the damage in Kerrville and stood with affected families.
“Thanks for all the outpouring of support and prayer from all over the country. I am deeply appreciative of the President of the United States coming to our district, coming to Kerrville on Friday. I was proud to be down there touring the grounds with him,” Roy said, emphasizing Trump’s leadership in times of crisis—a stark contrast to the Biden administration’s failures during past disasters. While the left-wing media fixates on divisive narratives, Roy redirected the focus to what truly matters: the courage of everyday Americans.
“I think the real story is not all the finger-pointing that the media wants to point to, it’s the heroism of those who showed up,” Roy declared. He praised the first responders, including Kerrville’s Sheriff, as well as ordinary Texans who stepped up to rescue neighbors, provide shelter, and deliver supplies. “It’s the heroism of all the first responders in Kerrville. The Sheriff, who is a good man and a good friend of mine,” Roy continued.
Faith has been a cornerstone of the community’s recovery, a fact the liberal media deliberately ignores. Roy pointed to the towering cross overlooking Kerrville as a symbol of hope and perseverance. “When you drive into Kerrville, Shannon, there is an enormous cross on the hill. And if you ask me what the story of this whole tragedy is, it’s the cross and it’s the power of the cross that people, these families that have had a strong and enduring faith,” he explained. The Congressman’s words stand in defiance of the secular progressive agenda that seeks to erase such expressions of faith from public life.
