Trump Unleashes on Putin Over Deadly Ukraine Strike

President Donald Trump delivered a stern warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, making it clear that the largest aerial assault of the Ukraine war has crossed the line. In a press gaggle at Morristown Municipal Airport, Trump said what world leaders haven’t had the backbone to say: Enough is enough.

“I don’t like what Putin is doing. Not even a little bit,” Trump told reporters, clearly angry. “He’s killing a lot of people. And something happened to this guy.”

This wasn’t Trump mincing words or walking diplomatic tightropes—this was the president publicly calling out the man who just launched nearly 300 drones and 69 missiles at Ukrainian cities in a single night, killing at least 12 and wounding dozens.

Trump’s Longtime Relationship with Putin Makes This Warning Matter

Trump didn’t pull punches on Sunday, but he also gave context the media often ignores. He’s known Putin for years and “always got along” with him. That relationship doesn’t come from weakness—it comes from understanding the stakes.

Trump’s frustration was clear: “I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin,” he said. “He’s shooting rockets into cities and killing people.”

This wasn’t political posturing. This was the man who kept Putin in check for four years now watching his predictions come true—and stepping up,  to stop the bloodshed others allowed.

Zelenskyy’s Pleas for Help Ring Hollow

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a Telegram post, called on the international community to respond with more sanctions. “The silence of America… only encourages Putin,” he said.

But Trump had his own message: Zelenskyy’s rhetoric isn’t helping either.

In a follow-up post on Truth Social, Trump didn’t hold back: “Putin has gone absolutely CRAZY!… Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems.”

Translation: This war needs grownups—not performers. Zelenskyy’s soundbites might play well in Western media, but they do nothing to end the war or protect his people.

“This War Would Never Have Happened If I Were President then”

That was Trump’s blunt reminder. And whether you agree with his foreign policy or not, history backs him up:

  • No invasion of Ukraine happened on Trump’s watch.

  • No drone swarms over Kyiv.

  • No chaos at this scale.

“This is Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s War,” Trump posted. “Not Trump’s. I am only helping to put out the big and ugly fires, that have been started through Gross Incompetence and Hatred.”

Trump didn’t want this war. He warned about it. He tried diplomacy. And now, like so many other disasters, he’s trying to clean up what the Left couldn’t prevent and the global elite won’t fix.

Final Thoughts: Putin Better Start Listening

Trump didn’t just condemn Putin. He made it clear that further aggression—especially while peace negotiations were in progress—was unacceptable. And he reminded the world that weak leadership invites bloodshed.

The sad truth? This war never needed to happen. But thanks to Biden’s weakness and the West’s cowardice, it did. Now, Trump is warning that if this continues, it won’t just be Ukraine that suffers—it’ll be Russia too.

“Maybe that’s proving to be right,” Trump said about Putin’s desire to take all of Ukraine. “But if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia.”

A chilling prediction. One Putin should take seriously.
