Pass the SAVE Act or Lose November

What Scott Presler told Fox

On Fox News Scott Presler made a clear ask for Republicans to act. He said the SAVE Act has 48 co-sponsors with Senator Mike Lee sponsoring it and that Senate Majority Leader John Thune needs to put the bill on the floor for a vote. Presler spoke like someone who has knocked on doors and answered phones. He wants senators to publicly declare where they stand on requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote and photo ID so voters know who is protecting election integrity and who is not.

What the SAVE Act would do

The SAVE Act is simple and commonsense. It would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote, require states to verify the citizenship status of voters, and force states to remove noncitizens from voter rolls. These are basic measures to make sure only eligible citizens cast ballots. Not exactly radical. Just basic checks that most people expect in a functioning democracy.

Why Presler is pushing hard

Presler is not asking politely for the sake of a headline. He wants accountability. He told viewers to call their senators and demand a public statement and a vote. For activists and regular voters who care about fair elections this is the obvious next step. If senators refuse to bring the bill up or hide behind procedural excuses, voters deserve to hear a straight answer on the record.

The political warning to GOP senators

Here is the blunt part. Presler warned that if Republicans do not pass national election reforms like proof of citizenship and photo ID many conservative voters may stay home on Election Day. That could flip tight races in places like Alaska, Maine, and North Carolina and potentially cost the GOP control of the Senate. Politicians who ignore that risk should expect to hear about it at the ballot box.
