Mark Wahlberg’s Strategy to Challenge Contemporary Hollywood Norms

Actor Mark Wahlberg has announced his intention to build a Hollywood studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. This venture is anticipated to create around 10,000 jobs and offer residents lucrative career opportunities both on-screen and behind the scenes. The move also aligns with Wahlberg’s personal desire for a more affordable lifestyle for his family and employees.

Boosting Local Economy

The construction of Wahlberg’s new studio is expected to significantly uplift the local economy. With average salaries at the studio projected to be $100,000 higher than current wages, this development will undoubtedly be welcomed by locals. Moreover, the actor believes that the establishment of his studio will make Las Vegas an attractive destination for those seeking improved living standards.

A New Home in Nevada

Wahlberg’s decision to relocate from California to Nevada was largely influenced by the lower cost of living in the latter. He noted that he had managed to move his employees from three-bedroom houses to six-bedroom ones at half the cost. In his words: “When I moved here, I brought probably like 15 or 20 people that work with me also moving here,” Wahlberg said. “They went from three-bedroom houses that they were really struggling to pay rent for. And now they have a six-bedroom house. And it’s, you know, half the cost.”

Praise for Local Government

Wahlberg applauded Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo (R) for his support in creating jobs outside of gambling industry which is predominant in Las Vegas. The actor sees huge growth potential in Nevada and believes job creation can contribute greatly towards regional economic development.

Faith as A Guiding Principle

Wahlberg, a devout Catholic, frequently credits his faith for his personal transformation. He said, “[Faith] it’s everything. It’s afforded me so many things. God didn’t come to save the saints, He came to save the sinners. We’ve all had things and issues in our lives. We want to be better versions of ourselves, and through focusing my faith, it’s allowed me to do that.”

A Trend Outside Los Angeles

Wahlberg’s studio joins a list of others situated outside of Los Angeles. Tyler Perry, creator of the popular Madea movie franchise, operates a 330-acre studio in Atlanta, Georgia.
