The former acting ICE Director, Tom Homan, has issued a stern warning about potential terror threats due to President Biden’s perceived lenient border policies. He has expressed grave concerns about the increased influx of undocumented immigrants into the United States and what this could mean for national security.
Potential Threats at the Southern U.S. Border
Homan’s primary concern focuses on the southern U.S. border, which he compares to a sieve due to its porous nature. He points out that large stretches of this border are left unmonitored by advanced technology such as drones and sensors. In another disturbing incident in March, an individual linked with al-Shabaab was captured crossing the border but then inexplicably released into the country. This person was identified by federal authorities as a confirmed member of al-Shabaab, a group notorious for killing more U.S citizens than any other al-Qaeda affiliate.
