The Trump Justice Department took decisive action to uphold the rule of law by summoning U.S. Marshals to deliver a stern warning to Elizabeth Oyer, the fired Biden-era pardon attorney, ahead of her planned testimony at a partisan “shadow” hearing orchestrated by congressional Democrats. Oyer, who was terminated last month by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche for insubordination, chose to disregard the DOJ’s lawful directive and instead participated in a political stunt designed to smear the Trump administration.
Oyer, who previously refused to restore actor Mel Gibson’s gun rights, openly admitted her bias to The New York Times, stating, “Giving guns back to domestic abusers is a serious matter that, in my view, is not something that I could recommend lightly because there are real consequences that flow from people who have a history of domestic violence being in possession of firearms.” Her dismissal was justified, as her personal political agenda clearly interfered with her duty to fairly execute the law.
The DOJ, invoking executive privilege, warned Oyer against testifying in what was nothing more than a sham hearing designed to undermine President Trump’s lawful authority. Yet, Oyer—represented by Deep State lawyer Michael Bromwich, who previously defended disgraced FBI official Andrew McCabe—blasted the DOJ for its entirely appropriate actions. Bromwich outrageously claimed, “This highly unusual step of directing armed law enforcement officers to the home of a former Department of Justice employee who has engaged in no misconduct, let alone criminal conduct, simply to deliver a letter, is both unprecedented and completely inappropriate.”
In reality, the DOJ’s move was a necessary measure to prevent yet another Deep State operative from weaponizing her former position to attack a duly elected administration. Reuters, ever eager to frame the Trump administration negatively, noted that while U.S. Marshals are sometimes used to serve subpoenas, delivering a DOJ letter in this manner was “unusual.” Of course, the liberal media conveniently ignores the fact that Oyer’s defiance was part of a broader pattern of resistance against President Trump’s efforts to restore law and order.

Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin, a notorious Trump antagonist, theatrically decried the DOJ’s actions during the hearing, putting on an Oscar-worthy performance as he feigned outrage over the supposed “bullying” of Oyer. Yet Oyer herself played right into the Democrats’ hands, melodramatically declaring, “I’m here because I will not be bullied into concealing the ongoing corruption and the abuse of power at the Department of Justice.”

The truth? There is no corruption—only a relentless effort by the Left to delegitimize President Trump’s lawful authority. The DOJ, under Trump’s leadership, is fulfilling its duty to “keep us safe, uphold the rule of law, and protect our civil rights.” Oyer’s testimony was nothing more than a staged spectacle, another desperate attempt by the liberal media and their Democrat allies to distract from the Biden administration’s failures and smear a president who has consistently put America first.
