Vice President JD Vance delivered a blistering condemnation of the architects behind the debunked Russiagate conspiracy, promising that legal consequences are coming for those who weaponized the intelligence community against President Donald Trump. In a no-holds-barred interview with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures, Vance left no doubt that the Biden-era cover-up is unraveling—and indictments will follow.
“Absolutely, Maria. Look, of course you’ve got to have the law follow the facts here,” Vance declared when asked if he supports prosecuting those involved in the Russia collusion hoax. “You don’t just indict people to indict people, you indict people because they broke the law.” His remarks come after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and FBI Director Kash Patel exposed damning evidence of a “years-long coup” orchestrated by Obama-era officials to undermine Trump’s presidency.
The scheme, as Vance laid out, was a brazen act of political sabotage disguised as intelligence. “What they basically did was they defrauded the American people in order to take Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign talking points and turn them into intelligence,” he explained. “They would take something that supported a Hillary Clinton campaign talking point, and they would overemphasize it and exaggerate it. They took anything that actually contradicted that narrative, and they buried it deep.”
This wasn’t just bureaucratic misconduct—it was a deliberate, coordinated effort to “launder” Clinton’s campaign propaganda through U.S. intelligence agencies, giving false legitimacy to the media’s nonstop Russia hysteria. The liberal press, of course, played along eagerly, treating the since-discredited Steele Dossier as gospel while ignoring its origins as opposition research funded by the Clinton campaign. Even after Special Counsel John Durham’s 2023 report confirmed the FBI “did not and could not corroborate” the dossier’s claims, the left continued to dismiss the scandal as a “conspiracy theory.”
But the facts are undeniable. FBI analyst Brian Auten admitted under oath that the bureau offered Christopher Steele $1 million to verify his wild accusations—money Steele never earned because his dossier was a fabrication. Meanwhile, Clinton’s campaign and the DNC were fined by the FEC for their role in bankrolling the smear job. Yet, the same corporate media outlets that amplified the hoax—CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times—still refuse to acknowledge their complicity.
Vance minced no words about the damage done. “It is sick and it’s disgusting. It hurt the intelligence community, it hurt the American people, and it hurt the first Trump Administration,” he said. “We’ve got to have consequences for it.”
The message is clear: The Trump administration isn’t just focused on cleaning up the mess left by the deep state—it’s ensuring that those who abused their power face justice. While the left screeches about “democratic norms,” they’ve spent years exploiting those very norms to shield themselves from accountability. But as Vance made clear, the era of immunity for political operatives masquerading as public servants is over.
