BREAKING NEWS: DOJ Axes 20 Deep State Operatives—Media Furious!

In a decisive move to restore integrity to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Trump administration has fired 20 employees who worked under Special Counsel Jack Smith’s politically motivated investigations targeting former President Donald Trump.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the terminated staff includes two prosecutors, 12 support staff, and six U.S. marshals who assisted in the classified documents and 2020 election cases—both of which were dismissed after Trump’s landslide victory in the 2024 election. This latest purge follows the dismissal of more than a dozen officials tied to Smith’s team in January, with Smith himself resigning before Trump took office, a clear sign that the Biden-era DOJ’s weaponized lawfare against Trump has finally met its end.

The liberal media, ever eager to spin this as an authoritarian crackdown, has conveniently ignored the rampant corruption and ethical violations that plagued Smith’s investigations. Axios and Reuters, while reporting on the firings, failed to acknowledge the glaring conflicts of interest and partisan bias that tainted these cases from the start. Smith’s own final report admitted that Trump would have been convicted if not for his election victory—an astonishing admission that reveals the sham nature of these prosecutions. Yet, even Smith couldn’t bring himself to charge Trump with insurrection, conceding that January 6 was nothing more than a riot and that there was no evidence Trump incited it.

Ethics Chief Fired After Blocking Trump’s Agenda

Among those dismissed was Joseph Tirrell, the former director of the DOJ’s Departmental Ethics Office, who took to LinkedIn to lament his termination. “Until Friday evening, I was the senior ethics attorney at the Department of Justice responsible for advising the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General directly on federal employee ethics,” Tirrell wrote, framing himself as a victim rather than an enabler of the deep state’s obstruction. Meanwhile, Patty Hartman, a public affairs official involved in the January 6 prosecutions, whined to CBS News about the supposed erosion of DOJ independence, claiming, “There used to be a line, used to be a very distinct separation between the White House and the Department of Justice… That line is very definitely gone.”

What Hartman and her allies refuse to admit is that the so-called “line” was crossed long ago—by the Biden administration, which turned the DOJ into a political weapon against Trump. The current administration is simply draining the swamp, removing bureaucrats who abused their power to target a sitting president’s chief political opponent. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s actions signal a return to the rule of law, free from the left’s lawfare tactics.

Smith’s desperate attempts to fast-track his cases before the 2024 election collapsed under their own weight, proving once again that the American people saw through the Democrats’ charade. The liberal media’s outrage over these firings is nothing but hypocrisy—where was their concern when the FBI spied on Trump’s campaign or when prosecutors stretched the law to its breaking point to indict him?
