Trump Campaign Submits FEC Grievance Involving Biden and Harris

The Trump Campaign has filed a complaint against President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, alleging campaign finance violations. The complaint accuses the Biden-Harris team of transferring campaign funds from Biden to Harris, an action considered as violating the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971.

Allegations Against Biden and Harris

The Trump legal team asserts that Vice President Kamala Harris is attempting to misappropriate $91.5 million of Joe Biden’s remaining campaign funds. This act, according to David Warrington, General Counsel for the Trump Campaign, would constitute the largest excessive contribution and most significant violation in the history of the Federal Election Campaign Act.

The Nature of Violations

The complaint further alleges that Biden and Harris are “flagrantly violating” federal laws by making and receiving an excessive contribution nearing one hundred million dollars. It also accuses them of filing fraudulent forms with the Commission, purporting to repurpose one candidate’s principal campaign committee for another candidate’s use.

Expected Action from FEC

Trump’s legal representatives have requested a swift response from the Federal Election Commission (FEC). They argue that Harris is on her way to committing the biggest campaign finance violation in American history using official forms provided by the commission itself.

Reaction from Biden Campaign & FEC

As reported by The New York Times, neither a spokesman from the Biden Campaign nor officials from FEC have responded to requests for comment on these allegations.

Harris’ Anticipated Nomination and Support

While Kamala Harris will not officially receive her nomination as Democratic Party’s presidential candidate until next month’s convention, she has already received endorsements from several key Democratic leaders. These include President Joe Biden himself along with California Governor Gavin Newsom and various Democratic congressional leaders.
