An unsettling video has emerged from Carrizo Springs, Texas, showing a woman believed to be involved in human trafficking reacting violently after being detained. The incident was captured and shared on Twitter by journalist Ali Bradley.
The footage reveals the suspect, who is handcuffed and seated in a border patrol van, located in a Texas town approximately 45 miles north of the border. In a sudden outburst, the woman becomes extremely agitated as border patrol agents attempt to get her fully inside the vehicle.
Despite numerous requests from Border Patrol officers for her to calm down, she responds with loud, animalistic growling noises. The agents persistently urge her back into the van to prevent any potential injuries.
A tense moment arises when an agent can be heard warning: “we are going to have to tase you; you aren’t going to like that.” The suspect’s only coherent response is towards this comment as she grips the van door tightly and retorts in an ominous tone: “I don’t understand what you’re telling me,”
The backdrop of this incident is set against an alarming increase in illegal migration into the U.S. In fact, 2021 saw record-breaking numbers of illegal migrants crossing into U.S. territory. Immigration officials recorded over 1.7 million apprehensions from September 2020 through September 2021, and these figures continue to rise.
